| overview | 2,3-cyclopentenopyridine is a pyridine derivative, an important intermediate for the synthesis of cefpirome, and is also widely used in the preparation of plant protectants, synthetic resins, plastic products, etc. Cefpirome, as the fourth generation of new cephalosporins, has the characteristics of broad spectrum, high efficiency, low toxicity and enzyme resistance. Cefpirome is the antibiotic with the strongest antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria among the known cephalosporins. It was listed in Sweden as early as 1992 under the trade name of Cefrom. Although cefpirome has been listed and used in developed countries for 20 years, due to the limitations of domestic economy and technology, it has not been able to form a scale and is still in its infancy. |
